Jan and family,
Your dad was always full of life with a comedic sense of humor.  I never heard a joke that he hadn't heard first.  Somehow I earned the name "kookie" and could always count on him to never forget it.  He always remembered my dad's birthday, but was quick to point out his being the next day, and my dad always looked forward to calling him to do the same. Your dad will be missed in so many ways and will always be in our prayers.  Love, "Unc" AT and Diane

Mr. Dauphin, you were a very generous and amazing person. Definitely will miss the peaches in the kitchen, that you gave me for all the crazy stuff you had me do around the house lol. You were a very special kind of guy. Your humor, and your jokes about my brother, were always a funny thing. I am however very greatful the only thing you didn't have me clean or fix at your house was your toilets lol. I think anyone who had the pleasure to know you would be humble and greatful to know such an amazing guy. I know your with Christ and the angels today and that we will see you soon. But do me a favor don't ask them to clean your toilet in heaven! Lol I love you man. I'll see you again! One day when I get to heaven as well. Until then R.I.P. my friend.

Sure will miss u uncle Harold. He was a family man, a good man, a good father, a devoted husband, a good brother to many many siblings, and just a great all around guy. There will always be good memories about him. He loved to joke around and expressing his opinions. I will always remember him that one day long ago; when I wasn't able to attend a camping trip with my fellow CAP credits because they were all males and I was the only female. It's was me my father and uncle Harold and I wasn't too sure we're my grandmother was because it was at here house were this took place. My uncle Harold had bought some boiled crabs that night and I was very upset because I couldn't go camping. I'm not sure if he was headed home with those crabs; but I do know, him and I sat there eating the boil crabs that night and I truly forgotten all about my camping trip that night and I remember having the best time with him that night. And here I will say good night to a wonderful Uncle and a uncle who had touched my heart  always.   I will always remember all the great times with my dad and my dad's family.  Thanks Guys

Stacey and I, Cathy  so sorry to hear aboule Mr. Harold's passing. We were neighbors for a long time. Our prayers are with your family, Cathy & Stacey Eisenman.

Sorry for the passing of this good man, who was loved by all who knew him.  We will all miss him at our reunions.  Redemptorist Class of 1953. John Villani, Hattiesburg,MS.

Growing up on Helios when I was a kid left an impact bigger then I had imagined. One day walking down the street when I was 10 or so, some friends and I were saying some not so nice things when Mr. Harold stopped us and expressed his concerns. He explained that there are so many words we could be filling our vocabulary with and we shouldn't allow ourselves to use those vulgar words. At first we thought he was crazy, but the more I used the vulgar language the more I would think back to those words. A week or two later I went back to him and told him I had been working on it and he invited me in and we sat on the back porch and shot at some squirrels to keep them away from the valuable pecans he liked to give to family. From then on it became a relationship that I had never expected! Any time he had Tango we would walk him and just chat throughout the years. 14 years later, at 24, he would be very proud of the young man I have become and I am extremely grateful for his kind words and time from his own worries to educate me in order to be a respectable young man! You will be missed by many people who I am sure had more memories with you, but I am grateful for the ones that we shared! My deepest condolences to the family.

I can't imagine how dull life is going to be without him.  This is the end of an ERA for me.  I had so many wonderful times with Ima, Harold and the whole family

Janet and all, what a beautiful story you shared with your writing and background including great pics. Your dad was quite special and we always felt being around him and your mom was a treat. He was so devoted to you, David and Kristen. It was also special having Kristen attend the same school (Our Lady of the Assumption) as our three sons. Your dad's frequent emails also kept us informed politically and humorously!  He was also so considerate of us with this Cenacle Retreat novenas. You can be very proud that he was a part of your family. I never saw him without a smile on his face. He will truly be  missed by all of us. Jan and David,  I was so sorry to hear that Mr. Harold was not doing well and might leave y'all soon. I know that he has been reunited with Ms. Imogene and Kristen.  And, I bet Pups (Al) was closeby to welcome him as well.  I am sure they are cutting up together again.  It was so nice to look through these pictures and imagine hearing his voice.
