Mr. Harold Francis Gallagher

On September 10, 2010, a true angel left this world and received his wings. Harold Francis Gallagher, at the age of 84, went to meet his Lord and rejoin his son Robert Bernard Gallagher, his parents Kate and James Gallagher and his six siblings.

We deeply grieve the loss of a faithful husband, a devoted father and loving grandfather.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 49 years, Beryl Gaillot Gallagher, three sons and a daughter, Dan Gallagher (Stefanie), Tim Gallagher (Tracey), Pat Gallagher and Charisse Zanca (Thomas), six grandchildren, Ashley and Paden Gallagher, Owen and Conner Gallagher and Jacob and Asa Zanca.

Harold was a proud alumni of St. Aloysius High School (Brother Martin) and received a BA from Louisiana State University. He served our nation in WWII as a member of the U.S. Army. He was a devoted parishioner of St. Philip Neri and a Eucharistic Minister. He was the manager of Wagner and Truax Real Estate for many years.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., Metairie on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. Visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
