Helen Margaret Perry

Helen Margaret Perry passed away on October 7, 2022, at the age of 89. Helen lived an incredible life, as partner to her late husband Don in the formation of the New Orleans Jazz Club. Helen was an integral member of that group, one of the fundraisers for the Club as well as for the statue dedicated to Louis Armstrong in Armstrong Park, among other efforts. She and Don collected and celebrated New Orleans jazz, and much of the music and film they enjoyed now resides in the archives of our city. She is preceded in death by her parents Norbert Schnieble and Florence O'Donnell Schnieble, her husband Donald R. Perry, and her sons Michael and Sean Perry; and survived by her children Brian, Aileen (Landry), and Kevin Perry, and loving grandchildren. We mourn the loss of a formidable, incredible woman of New Orleans.
