

Henry Bernard Eckers V, age 46, passed away on Friday, December 16th at his home in New Orleans. Mr. Eckers was born and raised in New Orleans and graduated from Heritage Academy. After graduating, he joined the family business, Quality Service Company, Inc., in New Orleans. Henry relocated to Arizona for a number of years, returning to New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina.
Henry was an active member of St. James Major Catholic Church. He is preceded in death by his parents Henry Bernard Eckers IV and Mary Snook Eckers, as well as his grandparents Pearl M. Snook & Delmar J. Snook, and Henry B. Eckers III & Florence Eckers. Henry is survived by his two daughters Summer and Savannah.
Henry was a kind and compassionate man who loved his family and many friends, and they loved him in return. Those closest to him were his Godfather, Paul P. Pareti IV, and his dearest friends whom he considered family: Joshua Deville, Andrew Fuselier, Robert Mitchell, and Kevin Sweeney.
Visitation and funeral services will be held at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd. in Metairie on Saturday, March 4th, 2023. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.. A funeral service will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. in the Leitz-Eagan Chapel. Interment will take place immediately following the service at St. Louis Cemetery #3, 3421 Esplanade Ave. in New Orleans.
An after-party to celebrate Henry's life will follow, location to be announced, to honor, remember, celebrate, and say goodbye the way Henry would have wanted. Everyone who would like to participate is welcome to attend.
