

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Lillie Repak Farrell and Huth Frederick Farrell. He is survived by his wife, Adele, and three children, Huey Pierce Long Farrell II (Lisa), Angelo Frank Farrell (Regina), Adele Farrell Schwall (Eddie). Grandfather of Lauren Marie Hunt, Lindsey Leigh Farrell and Haley Sarah Farrell. He is also great grandfather to Sebastian Alexander Hurd.
Huey was born in New Orleans, LA and was raised in Old Metairie and Bridgedale. He graduated from East Jefferson High School and attended college at St. Mary’s Dominican College.
Huey met the love of his life, Adele, while working in a family owned grocery store in New Orleans as a young man. He later went on to be a Captain with the Orleans Parish Criminal Sheriff’s office in New Orleans.
After leaving the Sheriff’s Office, Huey spent over 40 years on the sea, working for Nicor/Seacor Marine. “Captain,” as he was affectionately called, earned his captain’s license and was a Freight and Towing Master of all oceans. He retired 10 years ago at the age of 67.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd, Metairie, LA on Saturday, December 29, 2018 beginning at 11:00 AM with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 PM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel. Interment will be in Garden of Memories.
