He is survived by his loving wife of almost 70 years, Ann Ford, their sons Michael Ford (Beatriz) and David Ford (Kathleen), granddaughters, Kimberly and Kelly, and great-grandchildren, Cameron, Liam, Isla, and Luke.
Hugh was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a Navy veteran and longtime employee of Jefferson Parish working in the capacity as planning and zoning director. He was also a parishioner of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Metairie and a member of Lakeside Kiwanis Club. He will be missed by all who were blessed to know him during his long life.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 26, 2024 at St Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 6425 W Metairie Ave, Metairie, LA. Visitation will be held from 11:30AM – 1PM with a Mass to begin at 1PM. Interment will follow at Metairie Cemetery.
