

He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Donald Kennelly, uncle, Michael Schulman, great-uncle, Louis Hoth III, and grandmother, Jo Ann Punch.
He is survived by his siblings, Christian LaCaze, William LaCaze, and Sabrina Schulman, grandparents, Henry and Barbara Schulman, Constance Kennelly, Walter and JoAnn Nunes, and Wilfred LaCaze, godmother, Jacqueline Fouquet “Nannie”, godfather, Jay Oberfield (Donna Agnes), aunts, Melissa Killgore (Matt), Amy Broughton (Tanner), Jennifer Kennelly, and Michelle LaCaze, uncles, Walter Nunes Jr. (Jennifer), Michael Nunes (Shelly), Patrick Kennelly, Richard Schulman, Alan Schulman (Joy), and Jeff LaCaze, and cousins, Lauren, Leanna, Amber, Lance, Evan, Marcus, Daniel (Kierstyn), Rebecca, Annabelle, Vivian, Jack, Tyler, Magnolia, August, and Ruby.
He is also survived by his girlfriend, Ashley Vodanovich, her daughter, Vada, as well as numerous close friends.
Ian was a graduate of De La Salle High School and attended the University of New Orleans and Palm Beach Atlantic University. He was a native to New Orleans, LA, moved to West Palm Beach, FL in 2005, and later to West Chester, PA before finally moving back to New Orleans, LA in November of last year.
Ian had an amazing personality and always lived life to its fullest. He was an exceptionally creative and talented person. He enjoyed all genres of music and loved attending concerts and music festivals. He also enjoyed creating storylines and developing characters for many of the LARP groups he was involved with. He had a deep love for people and connected with everyone he met. He had a gift for making people feel at ease and was always looking out for others. Ian enjoyed organizing fun activities to bring people together, had many interests including all types games, and participated on a local trivia team. He adored his family and friends, and they adored him, he was known as "Uncle Ian” to several of his friends' children. We will forever cherish the memories Ian has given us. He will be greatly missed and will remain in our hearts forever.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 22 at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd. Metairie, LA. Visitation will be held from 11AM – 1PM, with a memorial service to begin at 1PM.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Ian’s name to the children’s charity of your choice.
