

Inez Pierce Segreto, born in New Orleans January 29, 1922, died June 7, 2013, age 91. Beloved wife of the late Dr. Angelo J. Segreto and sister of the late Edma Pierce Nothacker. Mrs. Segreto is the daughter of the late Dr. Sheldon Paul Pierce and Aimee Pitre Pierce. She is survived by two nephews, Sheldon Paul Nothacker and Gregory William Nothacker.
Dr. Angelo Segreto, Angel as he was known, was born in New Orleans to Gianni Segreto and Josephine Candilora Segreto on November 6, 1920. Angel had two brothers, Soti and Jimmy, and two sisters, Gloria and Vicki.
Dr. Segreto was a graduate of Loyola School of Dentistry and served in the U.S. Navy. He spent his career in private practice.
Inez attended The Catholic University of America, Washington D.C. and is a graduate RN of the Hotel Dieu School of Nursing in New Orleans. She spent much of her career working alongside Dr. Segreto in managing his dental practice.
Lifelong residents of the New Orleans area, Dr. and Mrs. Segreto lived in Lakeview and later in Metairie until August of 2005. While waiting to return to their home, Dr. Segreto passed away in Lafayette on June 19, 2006, and Inez later moved to Summerville in Kenner and finally to Heritage Healthcare in Hammond.
Inez and Angel’s love of life, sense of humor, and love of travel were well known by those who knew them. Together they traveled the world and made friends all along the way. Their amiable spirit and joie de vivre will long be cherished, and sadly missed by all who’ve known them.
Mrs. Segreto will be remembered at a memorial service and Mass to be held at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd, Metairie, LA on Monday, July 1, at 10:30 am with visitation at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Cut Off, LA.
