Ione Fairleigh Shaw

Ione Fairleigh Shaw, beautiful wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2010. Beloved wife of 55 years to Leo P. Shaw, Jr. Mother of Martin (wife Bridgette), Isabelle, Lillianne, Ione (husband Tom), Amy (husband Michael), and Sally (husband William). Grandmother of Daniel, Lucas, Fredrick, Eric, Scott, Amanda, Paul, Jennifer, Kristina, Laura, Kaitlin, Alex, and Sarah. Great grandmother of Gavin. Loving niece of Noel Bozeman. Preceded in death by her parents, Lillian and Martin Fairleigh. Ione was a resident of St. Rita Parish in Harahan for 49 years. There has never been, nor will there ever be, a more loving, caring, beautiful wife, mother, and grandmother. She devoted her life to her family and will be missed more than words can say.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie at 12:00 noon. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
