Irene (Terre) Lee Colgan

Terre was the beloved wife of Clark Colgan, with whom she shared 59 years of marriage. Together they built a life rooted in love and family. She was a devoted mother to her daughters Kimberley Colgan Basile and her husband Leo, and Courtney Colgan Messerly and her husband Robert.

Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Jay Trusheim, Jr. and his wife Christin; Joshua Trusheim; Dylan Torrance and his wife Heather Tran; Madison Torrance; Isaac Galaforo; Rebekah Galaforo; and Caroline Basile. Terre also delighted in the presence of her great-grandchildren: Grace, Jacob, Catherine, Thomas, and Luke Trusheim.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Patricia Hisey Ware and Andrew Clayton Ware, her brother Francis Dickinson Lee and her sister Shirley Lee Holten.

A woman of deep faith, Terre was a dedicated member of both St. Charles Borromeo Church and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. Her spiritual life was a guiding force throughout her years and a source of strength for those around her.

May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 13396 River Rd. Destrehan, LA. Visitation will be held from 10:00AM – 12:00PM with a Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 12:00PM. Interment will follow at St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery.
