James Arnold McRevy Sr.

James Arnold McRevy Sr., answered God's call to come home to Heaven on August 22, 2017 at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, LA. He was born on November 4, 1930. Visitation is Friday, August 25, 2017 from 11:00 to 1:00 at Memorial Baptist Church, 5701 Veterans Memorial Blvd., in Metairie, LA.

Funeral services will follow at 1:00 with Dr. Lloyd Wilson, son-in-law of James McRevy, Sr., and Rev. Dan Pritchett officiating. Burial will be Saturday August 26, 2017, in the Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery, Liberty, MS.

Jim was born in Algiers, LA, to James Roscoe McRevy and Esther McRevy. After graduating from Behrman High School, he served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He then served as Office Manager of the New Orleans General Motors Zone office from 1952-1985 when he retired. He was married to the love of his life Betty and they were married 61 years together until she died in June 2011. They had two children, James A. McRevy, Jr. of Metairie, LA, and Jeanne McRevy Wilson (Lloyd) of Florence, MS. They also leave three grandchildren, Andrew McRevy, Metairie, LA, Stephanie Cochran (Steven) of Slidell, LA and Jason Wilson (Francie) of Medford, OR. They also have two great grandchildren Juliana Craine and Cain Cochran of Slidell, LA. Jim is survived by three sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.
