James Francis Hickey III

A native of New Orleans Irish Channel and a resident of Metairie. He was employed and retired from The City of New Orleans Department of Sanitation and New Orleans Aviation Board. Attended St. Alphonsus Grade School and was a graduate of Redemptorist High School Class of 1961. He was a parishioner of St. Francis Xavier Church, volunteer on the St. Joseph’s Altar Committee, Poll commissioner for Jefferson Parish Precinct 43, New Orleans Saints Fan, proud DeLaSalle High School and Nicholls State University grandparent. Everything and Everyone he came into contact with was changed for the better. He was truly one of a kind, the rarest of all “Jims” He will be forever loved and missed, but never forgotten.

Beloved husband, soul mate, and best friend of Hazel Perkins Hickey, loving father of Dawn Hickey Greatrex, notable grandfather of James E. Greatrex, the apple of his eye. Only son of Norma Mintegui Hickey, and the son of the late James Francis Hickey Jr., brother of Ellen Hickey Langford and Mary Lou Hickey Pizzuto. First cousin of George (Bubba) Naquin, Robert (Bobby) Naquin, (Cindy) and Linda Naquin Armstrong. Rita Pepperman Graham, Evan Graham, Ginger Graham, Evan Graham Jr.
