Jesse "Sparky" Louis Nagle Jr.

Jesse "Sparky" Louis Nagle Jr., age 71, blew out his flip flop and went to the ultimate tiki bar on Monday evening, August 15, 2016. Father of Jennifer Nagle, Kathryn Guichet (Bryan), and Mandy Shaw (Raymond). Grandfather of Kailyn and Bryce. Brother of Marty Nagle, Bob Nagle (Florence), and Steve Nagle (Janet). Son of the late Jesse Louis Nagle and Kathryn Reeder Nagle. Also survived by four nephews, many cousins and lifelong friends. Sparky was a native and lifelong resident of the New Orleans area. He graduated from Francis T. Nicholls High School, and proudly served his country in the United States Marines. After retiring from Old Dominion Freight Lines, he found his passion in Ponotoc, Mississippi bringing back produce to the Crescent City Farmer's Market and local restaurants. As a true New Orleanian, he never missed a Jazz Fest. He will be greatly missed by all. Sparky had a dual citizenship in New Orleans and Pontotoc, MS. He leaves behind a host of cousins and friends in Pontotoc.In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory to the American Cancer Society are preferred. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Sparky's Life at LEITZ-EAGAN, 4747 Veterans Memorial Boulevard, Metairie, on Saturday afternoon, August 20, 2016 from 2:00 until 4:00.
