Jo Nell Wallace Dorsey

Ms. Jo Nell Dorsey passed from this life on Thursday, April 16, 2020. Wife of the late Peter J. Dorsey, Jr. and mother of Cassandra D. Arbo (Matthew), grandmother of Gabrielle Arbo and Peter Arbo, great grandmother of Nathan Lee. She was born in Meadville, MS to George C. Wallace and Mary M. Jackson Wallace Pipkins, and moved to New Orleans after graduating high school. She worked at South Central Bell then quit to become a homemaker.

Preceding her in death were her husband; parents; sisters, Billie Sue Ratcliff, Connie Lynn Wallace, Genia Etheridge; and brothers, Jerry Wallace and Rickey Wallace. Survivors include her brother, Danny Wallace, sisters, Gloria Walters, Carolyn Wallace, Patricia Untereiner, Jocelyn Etheridge, Connie Evans, Debbi Smith, and numerous of nieces and nephews.

Jo Nell loved being a mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She and her husband enjoyed their days of helping with their grandkids. Over the last few years, her best days were spent with her great grandson who always brought a smile to her face.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
