Joe Dwayne Brannon on December 11, 2011. Beloved husband of Yvonne Gerkin Brannon. Son of JoAnn Boyett Burges and the late Johnnie Hiram Brannon. Brother of Johnnie W. Brannon, Shelia D. Combs, Warren S. Brannon, Sheridan Brannon and Courtney Brannon. Son-in-law of Harold L. Gerkin and Margaret A. Gerkin. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Joe was the former owner of Ahorizon Environmental Services and was a former Merchant Marine. Age 53, a native of Texas and a resident of Metairie since 1975. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp, 1600 N. Causeway on Friday, December 16, 2011 at 10:00 am with visitation on Thursday from 6:00 until 9:00 pm and after 8:00 am on Friday. Interment will be private.
