JoElda is survived by her loving daughter, Ms. Nicole Gaudin, her two brothers, O.J. Young and David Young and her sister, Ms. Pearl Ann Young. JoElda retired after decades of management in the French Quarter hotel industry. Her hospitality and cooking will be remembered by many world-wide. May she rest in peace with her son, Christopher Araujo. All hail the queen.
A visitation for JoElda will be held Saturday, October 26, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Boulevard, Metairie, Louisiana 70006, followed by a celebration of life at 3:00 PM.
