John Joseph Leto - Born July 26, 1926 in Amite, LA. He passed away peacefully at his residence in Metairie on November 13, 2014 at age 88. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, survived by his wife Josephine Michale Leto, three sons, Michael (Kathleen), Daniel (Judy), and Jonathan (Rebecca), and grandchildren Jessica, Melissa, Joshua, Zachary and Benjamin. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War where he was awarded a Silver Star and Honorable Discharge on August 31, 1956. He owned and operated John Leto's A/C and Heating for over 30 years and was a member of the Airline Lions' Club. A memorial mass will be celebrated on Saturday November 15, 2014 at 11:30am at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church with visitation to begin at 10:30. Internment to follow at Colonial Cemetery in Independence, LA.
