John Leopold McDonald

John “Ball” Leopold McDonald, on Sunday, September 5, 2010. Brother of Daniel Robert McDonald and Ruth Catherine Valley. Son of the late Catherine Kustermann McDonald and John Walter McDonald. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was a U.S. Navy WWII Veteran who served at the Battle of Iwo Jima. He was employed by NOPSI and retired from Entergy after over 40 years of service. He was a gifted craftsman who enjoyed working with his hands. “He could fix anything” Age 86 years. A native of New Orleans and a resident of Metairie for the past 22 years. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Chapel of GARDEN OF MEMORIES FUNERAL HOME, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at 11:00 am.
