John Kelly Miller

John Kelly Miller passed away on September 26, 2025, at the age of 74. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana. he was the son of the late Wesley and Alice Miller. He attended Rabouin High School and retired from the Norfolk Southern Railway as a locomotive engineer where he worked for over 30 years. John loved fishing, playing cards with friends, seeing local bands, going to car shows and creating artwork and donating proceeds to various charities.

John is survived by his adoring wife of 53 years, Debra M. Miller; his sons, Christoper Miller (Amy), Wesley Miller (Juan); his grandchildren, Dylan, Faith and Bella Miller; his sister, Mary Johnson; his brother, Steven Miller (Becky) and numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Alice Miller; six brothers: Herman, Leon, Perry, Sidney, McDaniel, James and a sister, Jean Miller.

John leaves behind a legacy of love, loyalty and kindness.

Visitation for John will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Boulevard, Metairie, Louisiana 70006 followed by a Memorial Service at 6:00 PM.
