

John Salvatore Ricotta, Sr. (John the Plumber), 67, died April 4, 2013, at his home in Harahan, LA. He was born July 17, 1945, in Rochester, NY, to Jacob Salvatore Ricotta and Josephine Elizabeth Torshia, and later cared for by Henry Michael Vigelette. He served in the National Guard, then, later became a Licensed Master Plumber, and owner and operator of John’s Plumbing, Inc. He was known for his ability to talk to anyone, and those that met him, loved him immediately. He enjoyed playing with his grandson, and spoiling him whenever he had the chance. He touched so many hearts in an effortless way. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Janice Heinsz Ricotta, son and daughter-in-law John Jr and Rachel Ricotta and expected grandson; daughter and son-in-law Joanna and Jeff Picone; grandson Jackson Picone; and, sister, Donna Vigelette Martinez
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Funeral Service at Garden of Memories 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA on Wednesday, April 10, 2013, visitation from 4:00 pm until Service time beginning at 7:00 pm.
