Beloved husband of the late Mary Hogan Sides.

Loving father of Sally Sides Kennedy, (and husband, Richard) and the late Mary Catherine Beall and Martin James Dempsey.

Brother of the late Audley P. Sides Jr., Leo and Roy Sides.

Son of the late Lucy Twyman and Audley P. Sides Sr.

Also survived by 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mr. Sides was a Graduate of Jesuit High School “Class of 1935”, where he played football for the state championship in his senior year, his passion was football and he attended the very first Saints game. He was a retired Sales Manager with American Rent All after many years of service, A United States Army WWII Veteran, a parishioner of St. Angela Merici Catholic Church and will be loved and missed by all who knew him.

The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to friends and neighbors for the love and care that they provided.

Aged 93 years, a native of Gulfport, Mississippi, former resident of New Orleans, Louisiana and a resident of Metairie, Louisiana for the past 40 years.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass from Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home Chapel 4747 Veterans Blvd. Metairie, on Wednesday afternoon April 6, 2011 at 1 :00 p.m.

Interment in Metairie Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 12:00 noon until time of services.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
