John George Vignes Jr.

Loving brother of Joyce V. Brinkmann (and husband, Fred).

Son of the late Claire Lotz and John G. Vignes Sr.

Godfather of Debbie Lotz Dillehay.

Also survived by other relatives and friends.

Mr. Vignes was retired from Avondale Shipyard after 25 years of service, a Volunteer Jefferson Parish Deputy with the Laser Division for over 30 years, a member of Sam B. Dryfice Masonic Lodge #396 F&AM, Farhad Grotto, National Law Enforcement Officers Association, Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #12, Metropolitan Peace Officer Association, American Legion Post #175 and will be loved and missed by all who knew him.

Aged 83 years, a native of New Orleans, Louisiana and a resident of Metairie, Louisiana for the past 53 years.

Relatives and friends of the family, also friends of Bonnabel Boat Launch are invited to attend the Funeral Mass from Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home Chapel 4747 Veterans Blvd. Metairie, on Friday afternoon September 23, 2011 at 1:00 p.m.

Interment in Lafayette Cemetery #1.

Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until time of services.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Ann’s Catholic Church and Shrine 4940 Meadowdale St. Metairie, Louisiana 70006-4040.
