Johnnie Ann Cangelosi Bistes, age 59, entered into heaven on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 surrounded by her loving family at her side. Devoted wife of Joseph M. Bistes II of 28 years. Loving mother of Ginger Lynn Johnson (John E. Dazet), Lance Edward Johnson, Sr. (Gina Marie). Proud grandmother of Josephine Marie Dazet, Sarah Elizabeth Johnson, Lance Edward Johnson, Jr. and Sydney Amelia Johnson. Daughter of the late Josephine Marie Spera Cangelosi and Salvador Cangelosi, Jr. Sister of Angelina C. Ronan (William), Sadie C. Braquet (Robert), Roy J. Cangelosi (Yen Nguyen), Charles E. Cangelosi (Jill Langhof ) and preceded in death by her brothers Salvador R. Cangelosi and John Cangelosi. Johnnie is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.

A native of New Orleans, LA and a long time resident of Metairie and a current resident of Madisonville, LA. Johnnie worked 28 years for Hibernia/Capital One Bank.

All relatives, friends and fellow coworkers are invited to attend a funeral mass on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at 1:00 pm at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Dr. Metairie. Visitation on Monday, January 2, 2012 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm and on Tuesday 10:00 am until mass time. A Rosary will be said at 12:00 noon. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff of St. Tammany Hospital and North Shore Specialty Hospital for their compassionate care they gave to Johnnie.
