Johnnie Mae Wimberly walked into God's loving embrace in the early morning hours of January 5th, 2019. Affectionately known as Mae Mae, John, & Uncle Bob, Johnnie Mae was a loving mother, grandmother, and aunt who lived a life immersed in love and family. Born June 29th, 1944 to the union of Jesse "Jack" & Laura Wimberly in Georgetown, Mississippi. By her early twenties, Johnnie Mae moved to New Orleans, Louisiana to build her adult life. She leaves to celebrate her memory her daughter, Kimberly Wimberly; her grandson, Jared Williams; as well as a niece and nephew she held in a motherly embrace, Jennine and Justin Moore; Her sister Shirley Robinson; Her brothers Jesse, Tommie, and Ellis Wimberly; and a host of nieces and nephews she will continue to hold close. She is now reunited with her parents Laura and Jesse "Jack" Wimberly; Her sisters Yvonne Wimberly, Ezzie Ruth Palmer, Ella Ruth Moore, Helen Henderson, Lottie Weathersby, Mattie Lee Brown, and Dorothy Nell Bouie; and her brother JD Stephany.
