Joseph C. Higgins, Jr. passed away on February 28, 2013. Husband of Betty Higgins and the late Gail Higgins. Former husband of the late Faye Nettles. Age 88, a native of Algiers, La. and a resident of Metairie for over 50 years. Son of the late Joseph C. Higgins, Sr. and Olivia Higgins. Father of Deborah Brown, Joseph C. Higgins III (Trey) and the late Jeanne Higgins. Brother of Bob, Louis, Jimmy and the late Ray Higgins. Grandfather of Charlie Brown, Dean Higgins and Joseph C. Higgins IV (Chase). Great grandfather of Evie Brown. Mr. Higgins was a retired Marine. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp, 1600 N.
