

Joseph R. “Joe” Kaiser Jr. was born on January 23, 1941 and passed away on September 17, 2011. Joe was born in New Orleans and resided in both St. Charles and Jefferson Parishes. He is survived by his wife, Gwen Arthur Kaiser, his son, Joseph R. Kaiser III (Tammy), his daughter, Stacy L. Kaiser (Jeremiah Davis), and his grandson, Connor Joseph Davis. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph R. Kaiser Sr. and Evelyn Lee Kaiser.
Joe was a U.S. Army veteran and member of the American Legion Post 336 in Destrehan. Joe was also a graduate of the Institute of Politics of New Orleans. Because of his strong belief in political justice, he was actively involved in St. Charles Parish government and volunteered his time for many years. As a certified court reporter for 42 years, Joe was considered one of the best in his field and was well known throughout the city of New Orleans, the state of Louisiana and the Gulf region. For many cases, Joe has also traveled world‐wide during his career. Joe was President of Gaudet Kaiser L.L.C. , one of the most renowned court reporting firms in the region. He epitomized ultimate dedication to his profession and had always been a big proponent for utilizing the latest technology in court reporting. He was a lifetime member of the National Court Reporters Association, the Louisiana Court Reporters Association and a member of the Mississippi Court Reporters Association. Based on his professionalism and reputation, he was included in the National Register’s Who’s Who in Executives and Businesses. Joe will be remembered as a generous man with a larger than life personality. He will be sadly missed by family, friends and colleagues. A private service was held at Garden of Memories Funeral Home. Because of his love of animals, donations can be made in his honor to Animal Rescue New Orleans, a local non‐profit, no‐kill shelter.
