Joseph Prestia, Jr. died quietly on June 10, after a long illness. A native of New Orleans, Joseph enjoyed a lifetime career in the service industry. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Prestia, Sr. and Joyce Pellenz Prestia, and by his devoted sister, Julie Prestia Harmeyer.
Joseph is survived by his nephew, Josuha Harmeyer, and numerous cousins, by whom he will be missed.
The family want to thank the staff of the Veterans Affairs Hospital in New Orleans for the exceptional level of care Joseph received from their medical and support staff.
A graveside service will be held in Metairie Cemetery, New Orleans, LA at the Antonino Prestia family tomb on Thursday, June 25, 2026 at 10:00 AM.
