Joseph John Tooley Jr.

Joseph “John” Tooley, Jr., a child of God, passed away on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 6:40 AM at the age of 81. Beloved husband of the late Karen Spencer Tooley. Loving father of Patricia Tooley-Stogner (Jeffery), John T. Tooley and the late Michael J. Tooley. Brother of Vera LaGuaite and the late Alice T. Lopez. Son of the late Joseph John Tooley, Sr. and Alice Burns Tooley. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

John proudly served his country with the U.S. Air Force. He was an active member of the Metairie community for 54 years. He was a member of the Moisant Lions Club, the Voiture 1616 40/8 club and a past commander of the Vernon R. Tweedy American Legion Post 396.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at 1:00 PM. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until service time. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
