Mr. Joshua Benjamin Williams

Joshua Benjamin Williams, age 33, born in Columbus, GA on October 1, 1977, a resident of Westminster, CO passed away in Metairie, LA on Wednesday, October 27, 2010 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He is the beloved son of Lorraine Lake Williams and the late Peter G. Williams. He is the grandson of Amy S. Lake and the late Marion L. Lake and the late Daisy and Luther Williams. Josh is survived by his devoted sister, Julie L. Williams.

Mr. Williams is a graduate of Brookstone School, Columbus, GA. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Colorado in Boulder. He was Project Manager at Byer’s Peak in Wheatridge, CO. Josh was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying bicycling, hiking, kayaking and skiing.

He is survived by cousins Adele Neumann Gorrilla (John) of Granville, OH; Erin Lake Friend (Asher) and Meredith Lake Petrone (James) of New Orleans and Julia Lake Jacobson (Stephen) of Houston, TX. Josh is the nephew of Jonathan M. Lake (Fran) and Marilyn Lake Neumann. He was a very caring man, always helping others. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Family and friends are invited to attend services at Congregation Gates of Prayer, 4000 W. Esplanade Ave., Metairie, LA on Friday, October 29, 2010 at 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow in the Gates of Prayer Joseph Street Cemetery. Rabbi Robert H. Loewy officiating. Visitation begins at 11:00 AM. The family requests no flowers.
