

Joycelyn Schwarz Lobell passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at the age of 92. She was the beloved wife of the late Irvin Reynaud Lobell for over 62 years. She was the loving mother of Cheryl Lobell Haas (Henry) and Gary George Lobell (Jamie) and the grandmother of Allise Lobell Bernius (Cody), Kimberly Lobell, and Colleen Haas. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren, Adeline Bernius and Reid Bernius as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Joycelyn was preceded in death by her parents, George H. Schwarz and Veronica Ello Schwarz and her three sisters and their spouses, Vivian Millet (Russell, Sr.), Mildred Parr (Harold) and Melrose Schwarz.
Joycelyn was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Metairie since 1957. She was employed with AT&T (BellSouth) and retired from Borden Dairy. She was a parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church and was an avid Saints, LSU, and Pelicans fan. She enjoyed tending to her flower gardens, cooking and taking care of her precious grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family and lovingly remembered.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Friday, July 3, 2026, at 1:00 pm at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Boulevard in Metairie. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am. She will be laid to rest with her devoted husband in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
