With no obligations, they would often arise at the crack of dawn to go and sit by the seawall of Lake Pontchartrain with their dog Snoopy or make a day trip to Houma, Avery Island, the Mississippi coast and other places. Although not athletic, she would accompany Fred while he played pool tournaments and loved to drive the cart while he golfed.

One of their favorite activities was to shop whether it was the grocery store (especially Winn Dixie), Dollar Tree or Big Lots. She enjoyed purchasing items at Dollar Tree and Big Lots because she could come home with a lot of things for very little. It didn't matter that she didn't need them or use them.

She was one of the kindest, gentlest people you'd ever meet. She will be forever missed by her husband and partner.
