Judith McCune DeCastro

Judith McCune DeCastro entered eternal rest on Sunday, May 23, 2010 at the age of 63 after a brief illness. Beloved wife of Louis "Phil" DeCastro Jr. for the past 44 years. Her legacy continues through her three children and their spouses: Tanya Hoke and her husband Tonee, Cristy Gutierrez and her husband Chuck, and Louis "Phil" DeCastro III and his wife Christine. Survived by 7 grandchildren, Orsin Sanchez, Jr.; Brandon, Taylor and Sunday Hoke; Evan, Alexis and Avery DeCastro. Sister of Jane Kuehne and her husband Norbie, the late Mary Kuhn, Constance Lopez Fasnaught, John, Patrick, and Ricky McCune. Sister in law to Ricky and Jackie DeCastro and the late Harold and Dorothy DeCastro Tresch. Also survived by many nephews and nieces. Preceded in death by her parents Vern and Natalie McCune. A native of New Orleans and resident of Slidell for the past four years. She loved her family, friends, dancing and enjoyed life on Lake Pontchartrain. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Chapel of Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Dr., Metairie, on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at 12:00 Noon.
