Judith Goben Hebert

Judith Goben Hebert, age 85, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2026 at St. Joseph Nursing Home in Harahan, LA. She was born in New Orleans, LA, grew up on Willow Street in the Carrollton area, was a long time resident of River Ridge, 60 years, and was a recent resident of St. Joseph in Harahan.

Beloved wife of the late Charles Hebert. Mother of Debra Montet (Tony) and Roland Wahl (Lisa). Grandmother of Andy Montet and Brad Montet. Daughter of the late Robert Guy Goben and Mildred Duthu Goben. Sister of the late Robert Guy Goben Jr.

Mrs. Hebert was a graduate of Fortier High School Class of 1958. She retired from the Jefferson Parish School System where she had been an administrative assistant at Riverdale High School and Riverdale Middle School. She was a parishioner of St. Matthew the Apostle Church in River Ridge, LA. She loved going to Starbucks in River Ridge every morning to enjoy a great cup of coffee with her friends. She enjoyed taking bus rides to the casino with her husband who was the tour bus driver. She would often take a ride to her beloved Carrollton neighborhood to visit and reminisce. She also enjoyed riding the streetcar.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Monday, March 23, 2026 beginning at 9:00 AM with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel. Interment will be in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
