June Elliott Haggerty

20 MAY 1943 – 19 NOVEMBER 1945

June Elliott Haggerty joined her beloved Dan Haggerty, Sr. on Sunday, June 23, 2013, at the age of 92.

She is survived by her siblings and their spouses: Luke and Sue Sibley Elliott, Marion Ortte Elliott, widow of Russell Elliott, Margie Elliott Duff widow of Howard Duff, Julie Elliott and Allen Baudry, Joan Elliott Hoffman widow of Raymond G. Hoffman. She is also survived by her sister–in-law Yolande Millet Haggerty, widow of the late Judge Edward A. Haggerty, Jr.

She is also survived by her children and their spouses: Dan & Janet Roberts Haggerty, Mike and Sandy Walters Haggerty, Patrick Haggerty and MaryJo Komodowski Haggerty, Eileen and Charlie Allo, Tim and Lorraine Linker Haggerty, Kathy and Ron Bretz, Ed and Avri Richmond Haggerty, Bridget and Jerry Duhon, Bryan and Sherlene Gerdes Haggerty, Georgie and Gene Bagnetto, Peggy Haggerty. June leaves behind 27 grandchildren and 56 great grandchildren.

Organizations to which she belonged include the John and Patrick Lyons Unit 3336 of the American Legion Auxiliary Post where she held the office of President from 1966 - 1967 American Legion Post # 267 in Metairie, LA. She is a Charter member of Women in Military Services for America Memorial and The NAIM Group.

Visitation will be at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy, in Metairie, LA on Wednesday evening, June 26, 2013 from 6:00 PM until 10:00 PM and on Thursday morning, June 27, 2013 from 8:00 AM until 9:15 AM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Dominic Church, 775 Harrison Avenue in New Orleans, LA on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery No. 1.
