Karen Elizabeth Eagan, a lifelong resident of New Orleans passed away Friday, August 26, 2016 at the age of 70. Karen is survived by her daughter, Aimee' Becnel Spears (Wade); grandchildren, Chloe, Sophie & Samuel; step-grandchildren, Wade & Benjamin; brothers, Ken & Jerry Eagan. She will also be missed by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lucy and Earl Eagan and the father of her daughter, Benjamin Becnel.
Karen will be remembered for her love and passion for New Orleans culture and music.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, LA 70006. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
