Karen Marie Roberts Fontana, age 54, left us suddenly on Sunday, February 8, 2015. Karen was a resident of Metairie, LA. Beloved wife of Michael A. Fontana. Mother of Jennifer M. Bouysou (husband, David) and Tyler M. Fontana. Ya Ya of Hale Bouysou. Daughter of the late Leo Clyde Roberts and Shirley Baham Roberts. Sister of Steven Roberts (wife, Beverly), Donna Michael (husband, Quentin) and Ronnie Roberts (wife, Susan). Aunt of Christy, Scotty, Kathryn, Lloyd, Nikki and Tori. Also survived and loved by 8 grandnieces and nephews and her sister in spirit, Susan Conners. Karen was an employee of Capital One Bank. She was a very giving person, volunteering her time at different schools, reading to children and teaching them about the banking system. She was a very generous and incredible woman who was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by everyone whose lives she touched. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Friday, February 13, 2015 at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA beginning at 11:00 AM with a Funeral Mass to follow at 1:00 PM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or to New Orleans Missions, both of which were dear to Karen’s heart.
