Kathleen Merrigan Schuster

Kathleen June Merrigan Kaul Schuster, affectionately known by her family and friends as Kassie and affectionately known by her grandchildren and great grandchildren as Kaki, was born on July 20, 1930, and passed away on August 5, 2025, at the age of 95.

Mother of Dr. Bonnie Kaul Nastasi, Bobbie Kaul Blackerby (Robert), Billie Kaul Barbier (Stephen), Brenda Kaul Harris, Bridget Kaul Morange (AJ). Grandmother of Lauri Blackerby Price (Billy), Dr. Heather Barbier (Chris), Timothy Harris, Jr (Amy), Michele Barbier Hallinan (Thomas), Shannon Morange Cuccia (Anthony), Jennifer Harris Mitchell (John), Matthew Barbier (DanRae), Tracy Blackerby, Jay Morange (Brittany).

Great Grandmother of Lenny Price, Jhett and Joules Mitchell, Silas Barbier, Anthony, Cooper, and Christian Cuccia, Benjamin, Bradley, and Adaline Morange.

Preceded in death by her parents, Robert Michael Merrigan and Magdalene Bensel Merrigan, sisters Shirley Perez and Marlene Mire. Also, preceded in death by her first husband, Marvin James Kaul and, second husband, Isadore Paul Schuster.

Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation at St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church, 4317 Richland Avenue, Metairie, LA on Saturday, August 16, from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial. Internment at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, in St. Rose, LA.
