Kirby Joseph “KJ” Baudin, Jr. entered this life on March 7, 1953 and, after 69 years, departed it unexpectedly on Monday, August 15, 2022. Kirby loved life and believed in living every minute to the fullest. His energy was boundless, and it was impossible for him to keep still. He was born to Kirby Joseph Baudin, Sr. and Lucille Duplessis Baudin, both of whom predeceased him. He was also painfully predeceased by three sons, Jeffrey Baudin, Jules “Beau” Baudin and Parker Baudin. Left to cherish his memories are his two surviving children, Logan Baudin and Kimara Sadasey; his three grandchildren, Daniel J. Bonamour, Mikhayl Sadasey and Kaiden Sadasey; a great-grandson, Isaac Sadasey; his sister, Janice Baudin Hockman and his best friend, Leslie Langhetee along with aunts, uncles, cousins and friends (and he had plenty of them). Kirby was one of those people with a gregarious personality who never met a stranger. He was always fun to be around and willing to lend a helping hand to his friends. He was also generous to a fault. If he only had one dollar in his pocket, he’d give it to you. If you had a problem, Kirby knew a guy. His absence will be sorely felt by many.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate his life as this chapter comes to a close on Friday, August 19, 2022 at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd. in Metairie, LA. Visitation will begin at 11:30 AM followed by a service at 1:00 PM. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, 11316 River Road in St. Rose, LA.
