Born on January 10, 1964, in New Orleans, Louisiana, Kris was the daughter of Eugene and Joan Paillot and the wife of the late Jim Thoman.
Kris was a devoted and loving mother to Tiffany Thoman and a proud “grand-dog” grandmother to Tchoup, who will forever miss their daily walks, endless treats, and the unconditional love she gave so freely.
She is also survived by her sister, Kim LeFleur, and countless friends who became family.
Kris never met a stranger. She had a personality that could light up any room and a sense of humor that kept everyone around her laughing. Known for her quick wit, hilarious one-liners, and unforgettable stories, she had a way of making people feel comfortable, loved, and entertained all at once. Whether she was cracking jokes, giving advice no one asked for, or spoiling the people she loved, Kris left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Above all else, Kris was incredibly strong. Through every challenge life placed in front of her, she faced it with resilience, courage, and humor. She loved deeply, laughed loudly, and lived fully. The world feels a little quieter without her in it, but her memory will continue to live on in the countless laughs, stories, and moments shared by those who loved her most.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life honoring Kris at The Ridgeway of Old Metairie, 2431 Metairie Road, Metairie, Louisiana 70001, on Saturday, May 30, 2026, from 12:00 PM until 3:00 PM. A Memory Tribute will begin at 1:00 PM.
