

Lessie Scalise “Lindie” Kellum of St. Amant, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on February 25th, 2018, at the age of 70. She was born December 22th, 1947 in New Orleans, Louisiana and was a resident of St. Amant since 2000. She proudly achieved her GED in 1978 after becoming a mother. She worked as a florist and cake decorator at Canal Villere Supermarket, then with her sister at Pat Kane’s Florist in Metairie, and lastly with her dear friend Carol Summers at The Flower Shop in Gonzales, Louisiana. She was well known for her gardening and crafting but her greatest joy in life was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is proceeded in death by her parents Peter J. Scalise Jr. and Lessie Lee McKenzie, her brother Peter J. Scalise III, her first husband Dalton L. Estave, and her last husband Ricky Kellum. She is survived by her daughters Cynthia Estave Edwards (Mitch), and Lauren Lizana Mouledous (Alex); her son Dalton “Bubba” Lizana; her grandchildren Andrew Edwards, Luke, Amelia, Hannah, and Ethan Mouledous; her sister Patricia Kane; and her second husband Hon. Bruce H. Lizana (JoAnn). Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd. Metairie, LA, on Friday March 2nd from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM and Saturday March 3rd from 9:00 AM-11:00 AM with a Funeral Mass at 11:00AM. Interment will follow at Cypress Grove Cemetery in New Orleans, LA. In lieu of flowers, Masses or donations in her memory may be made to Catholic Charites Archdiocese of New Orleans, www.ccano.org.
