Lester Newman

Lester Newman, age 56, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2017. He was a resident of LaPlace, LA. Beloved father of Dustin Newman. Son of the late Carl Newman and Ernestine Mansfield Newman. Brother of Jimmy Newman (wife, Deborah), Beverly Braud, Connie Mayberry, Mary Dufrene, Billy Newman (wife, Candy), Bonnie Dempster, Elsie Labat (husband, Richard) and the late Ronnie Newman. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Lester was an electrician, a U.S. Army veteran and he loved to ride his motorcycle. He was a very good hearted person who would unconditionally help anyone in need. He will be greatly missed. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial gathering at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Saturday morning, February 4, 2017 beginning at 9:00 AM with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 AM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel.
