Linda Bailey Coates

She is preceded in death by her father, Wilbur Bailey and her beloved mother, Dorothy Diggs Darcey.

She is survived by her three children, Janel Bernard (Sean), Patrick H. Coates Jr., and Michelle Coates-Hakanson, four grandchildren, Hunter Bernard, Darcey Bernard, Celeste Reames, and Rachel Reames, and her brother, Ray Harold Diggs Darcey (Barbara), as well as many other extended family members.

Linda worked as a librarian at St. Edward the Confessor School in Metairie for most of her life and was the founder, administrator, primary care giver, and chief "boo-boo kisser" of their before and after school care program. She loved spending time with all of her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew her.
