Lois was always a very strong independent woman and a bit of a smart aleck. Even towards the end she would give nurses answers like “I’m still here” when they would come take her blood pressure. That was our mom.
Our parents lived in Metairie until our father’s retirement and then moved to their home in Tylertown, MS. where for many years enjoyed weekend card games and dinners with old friends. Mass on Sundays followed by potluck dinners. Summers spent at the beach with family and friends.
Lois is preceded in death by her parents Stephen Arnoult, Anna Mae Stelz; stepfather, Harold Stelz; husband, Marcel “Mike” Vera; and daughter, Karen A. Vera.
She is survived by her brother Steven Arnoult; and her children and grandchildren, Cheryl (Sam Harvey), Michael (Kim), Gloria, Austin, and Kayla (Barley).
