I was so sorry to hear Louis has passed. I had worked very closely with him when we opened Costco 1147. He was in my group when we went out marketing. Louis always joked around with me, poking fun at different things, for example, me in a costume at Halloween as Batman. We would hit the streets until the opening of the warehouse. I wish I could have been there today to attend your service. However, I'm here at work. Nevertheless,  I have you in my thoughts and prayers. I know God will take care of you Louis.  Rest in Peace my coworker, until we meet again man.

My nieces loved their Uncle Lou. He was so good with those little girls. He would have both girls get on his back so they could play “horsey”. They stretched out the collars on a lot of shirts.

Louie just Loved my nieces!! He was a natural. My nieces ,  my family and my friends have shared many wonderful memories of Lou and  send their condolences. I remember when the girls were little Louie would let them get  on his back and they would play “ horsey’.

I had so much fun that Mardi Gras with Louie and the Gueho’s.

Lou was a friend of mine.  I have not been in touch with him in many decades.  I do know that he was a believer in our Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior.  Therefore, I will see him in eternity.

Lou when I married your sister in May of 1986 I did not just get one best friend I got two. We were often “fishing in the same hole”.  Our friendship has meant so much to me over the years.

Since moving back to NOLA in 2013 you have been a significant member of our family.  You have been there for both James and Brooke which gave Bridget and I such joy to see how much love you had for them and them for you.  You were Bridget’s sidekick and partner in crime.   I don’t know who will let the dogs out….I thank you for watching over Bridget, Brooke and James every time work required me to travel (sorry you and Bridget did not get the reward for the cat while I was in Germany). It gave me peace of mind knowing you were keeping a watchful eye on the family.  Weekend grilling and seafood boils, watching the tigers and the saints will not be the same.  

I take comfort knowing you are finally home hanging out with your dad and looking down upon us still watching over us.

I met him when we were 12 years old. My girlfriend thought he was so adorable.  We stayed friends through the years and into our 40's.  I was blessed to reconnect with him a few years ago. I can't believe he's gone now. I know he and Steve are creating havoc together.   We always had a special connection and I will miss him and his goofy behaviors and unforgettable laugh. RIP LLL!!

Our sincerest condolences to the Markey family. Louie was a great friend to my brother. A loyal friendship through the ages. They are missed but I’m comforted to know these two are in great company.

I met Lou when he was still managing Harbor Seafood. He impressed me with his dedication and knowledge of his position.  We actually met at The Whisky Bar where we hung out and played many a game of billiards! He would let me win, which would really piss me off—he would just smile and say he didn’t. Damn he was a good shooter. He was the first person I offered a job to at the new Costco in New Orleans. He was an awesome employee. He used to say that he felt guilty for taking Costco’s money when he was out at the gas station as the supervisor🤣🤣😂😂 Many memories of Lou shucking and  bbqing oysters Rockefeller for my wife Debbie. After we left Louisiana, we would come back from time to time and spend a few nights a his place in Metairie—always had a great time. I will truly miss my friend and will be forever grateful that he was a part of my (our) life. Love you Lou❤️❤️

I remember the first time he saw Kathy, he pulled me aside at a Sunday menu rollout meeting and asked me her name. I told him and he said to me, " I'm gonna marry her". 
He was the life of every party. Once he even built a Mardi Gras ladder for my daughter so she could enjoy her first Lafayette Mardi Gras. 
A little piece of heart will forever be with him. Rest in Peace sir. I love you.

Wow I am so sorry to read this.  Louie started off as a bartender for me in the early 90's at Bennigan's in Kenner.  We hit it off from day 1! We latter hired him to be a manager at Bennigan's.  He managed at the BR store and Lafayette.    We became good friends for years.  I would stay at his house when I was in town.  I hadn't seen him in about 10-15 yrs.  I lost touch w/ him when he was in Lafayette, and I was in FL.   I have asked about him often since I came back to Louisiana w/ mutual friends.  He always made me laugh and we had plenty good times together.  I go back w/ him to his Pat O'briens, Howling Wolf, Frankie & Johnny's, The Harbor in Kenner and at that house he rented off Airline many years ago by Rummel.  We loved our Tiger's, The Saints, a cold beer and shooting the breeze!  Louie was good people!  RIP my friend till I see you again!!
