Lucas Salvador Sacco Sr.

Lucas Salvador Sacco, Sr. passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2011, at the age of 83. Beloved husband of Una Stephens Sacco for the past 53 years. Father of Stephen Barbe’ (Jessica), Lucas Sacco, Jr., Greg Sacco (Amanda), Diana Ezell (Bobby) and Timothy Sacco. Son of the late Joseph Sacco, Sr., and Jennie Serio Sacco. Loving brother of Josephine Sacco Mathes, the late Joseph Sacco, Jr., and the late Rosemary Sacco Alessi. Loving grandfather of Brianna, James, Noelle, Amanda Marie, Megan, Amanda Cristina, Monique, Victoria, Francesca, Jordan, Kimmie and Life, and great-grandfather of Christopher, Brendan and Juliana. Lucas was born in New Orleans and lived in Kenner and was a parishioner of St. Jerome Catholic Church. He graduated from Warren Easton High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Employees of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, NODA Federal Credit Union, U.S. Postal Service, members of NARFE Chapter 41, relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Saturday, May 28, 2011, at 12:30 pm at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie. Visitation will be from 9:00 am until service time. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
