Lucia Marie Sierra

Our precious angel, Lucia Marie Sierra, beloved daughter of Roger and Diana Sierra, gained her angel wings in the loving embrace of her parents on Sunday, November 1st, 2020, at 1:57am. She adored her big brother, loved the Disney Princesses and Elmo, and was fascinated by the outdoors. Throughout her short time with us, her smile and laugh brought joy and happiness to everyone she touched.

In addition to her parents, Lucia is survived by her big brother, Roger, along with paternal and maternal grandparents, many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends who loved Lucia very deeply.

The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of Ochsner Baptist Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Ochsner Hospital for Children Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) in New Orleans, LA, for the incredible care they provided to Lucia and her entire family.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 6th, 2020 at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd. Metairie, LA. Visitation will be held from 9:00am-11am, with a funeral mass to begin at 11:00am, officiated by Father Kevin T. DeLerno of St. Edward the Confessor Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Lucia’s memory to the Ochsner Hospital for Children CVICU at www.ochsner.org/lucia to help support children like Lucia with Congenital Heart Disease.
