Lucille Rita Foster

Lucille Rita Foster passed on April 26, 2026, at the age of 93, having been born on October 27, 1932, and residing in Metairie, Louisiana. Lucille was the former manager of Shape Spa for over 30 years and was the former Ms. New Orleans. She traveled the world with her husband, Morris Shear and was a dedicated parishioner of St. Benilde Catholic Church. Lucille was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother; who affectionately called her Loulou and My Lou.

Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Lucille Johnson; her sister, Linnie Johnson; and her son, Kenny Andrus Foster; and the father of her children, Jerry Ray Foster.

Survivors include her loving husband, Morris Shear; her daughter, Linnie Foster Bruns (Paul); her grandchildren, Shannon Foster Cantrelle (Cameron), Kasey Bruns Rumore (Jim), and Krista Bruns Glaser (Alex); her great grandchildren, Andrus Mac Cantrelle, Ezra David Glaser, Lucille Kate Glaser, Lyla Rose Glaser, Blythe Katherine Rumore, and Grace Foster Rumore.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at St. Benilde Catholic Church, 1901 Division St., Metairie, LA on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 from 10:00am until 11:00am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am. Interment will follow in St. Louis Cemetery No. 3, 3421 Esplanade Ave., New Orleans, LA.
