Lucille Preau Taylor

Lucille Preau Taylor passed away peacefully on the evening of Monday December 18, 2017 at the age of 97. Lucille was preceded in death by her husband (of 63 years) James F. Taylor. Mother of four children: Robert S. Taylor (Ann), Thomas H. Taylor (Gayle), Charles J. Taylor (Maureen) and Elizabeth Taylor Mayer (John). Lucille was grandmother of: Jennifer L. Bernstein, Margaret T. Boasberg, Kathryn T. Barton, Jamie T. Lynn, Rebecca M. Taylor, Laura T. Downing, Jacob J. Mayer and Patrick J. Mayer. Great-grandchildren include: Olivia Bernstein, Abram Bernstein, Kate Bernstein, Taylor Boasberg, William Boasberg, Maggie Barton, John Barton, Luciana Lynn and Annika Lynn. Lucille lived in Gentilly and was a long-time parishioner of St. Raphael Catholic Church where she would attend morning mass during the week days. After the devastation left from Hurricane Katrina, she became a parishioner of St. Pius X Church and continued to practiced her Catholic faith to the fullest. In lieu of flowers, donations are asked to be given to Holy Cross High School. Lucille's husband along with her three boys all graduated from Holy Cross High School. Visitation will be held on Friday December 22 from 11 AM to 1 PM at St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church, 105 Bonnabel Blvd., Metairie followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 PM.
