Luis Alberto Martinez, Sr., age 82, entered into rest on Monday, January 11, 2016. Beloved husband of Martha E. Martinez for 44 years. Father of Luis A. Martinez, Jr. (wife, Laura), Carlos A. Martinez (wife, Blanca), Luis Manuel Martinez, Luis E. Martinez (wife, Tonya), Luis A. Martinez, Marco Tulio Martinez and the late Martha Martinez Dartt (surviving husband, Jonathon). Brother of Abraham Duarte of Honduras. Also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by brothers and sisters. Mr. Martinez was a member of the IBEW Local Union 130. He was a native of Tegucigalpa, Honduras and a resident of Kenner, LA for 44 years. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Friday, January 15, 2016 beginning at 11:00 AM with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 PM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel.
