Lynn Michelle Rae’ Chauvin (42) of Metairie, LA received her angel wings on October 14, 2023. Beloved daughter of Linda Redmond Chauvin; Sister of Lisa Chauvin, Alicia Connelly; and Tim Chauvin (Dawn); Aunt of Christine Chauvin, Hiram “Roman” Garza, and Holden Garza; Godchild of Beverly Lamkin; and close friend of Peter Williams.
She was also the Wife of Gary Scaffidi, Jr.; step-mother of Anthony Scaffidi (Samantha); NanNan of baby Claire; Godmother of Adrienne Connelly, Christine Chauvin, and Holden Garza; and shared a special bond with her cousins, Reagan Hebert and Asa Hebert. She is predeceased by her father, Floyd Chauvin, step-father, Lloyd Dukes, Jr., and grandmothers Aline Duplantis Redmond and Beatrice Samanie.
She was known for her kind heart, generous spirit, and love of children and her fur babies, Orielle, Ouija, and Mystery. She will be immensely missed by all that knew and loved her.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd, Metairie, LA 70006, on Friday, October 27, 2023, from 11am to 1pm.
A Catholic Mass will also be held at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Adoration Chapel, 4316 LA-56, Houma, LA 70363 (Upper Little Caillou), on Saturday, October 28,2023, from 10am to 1pm. Interment to follow at St Elie Cemetery in Chauvin, LA.
